It's Change Your Life Travels first contest of 2016! What's up for grabs: the Blu-Ray combo pack of the film Everest.

We were thrilled when Universal Pictures Home Entertainment asked if we'd like to host a contest concurrent with tomorrow's release of Everest in 3D Blu-ray™, Blu-ray™, DVD and On Demand.

Now that your adrenalin is beginning to surge, let's jump right into the trailer:

When we were approached about hosting this contest, several things ran through our minds. First, New Year's Resolutions. We're not sure about yours, but ours include some goals that are a bit daunting, to say the least. So we thought, what better way to have people enter the contest than to share one of theirs.

That's right, to enter the contest, share one of your New Year's resolutions either here on the site, on our FB, Instagram or Twitter pages (links are on this site). A winner will be chosen from a random drawing. It's as simple as that!

As for the second thing that came to mind for Bekah, well, you'll get to follow her En Route as she travels to Utah for some snowshoeing, canyoneering, tubing... Yep, she's trying out her "still recovering from surgery" knee on ice in Utah. Stay tuned.

Watching Everest eased her fears to some degree. Why?

After seeing the real-life story behind Everest unfold, the trip to Utah seems a lot less intimidating. Universal describes the film as: "Unbridled ambition, a ferocious storm, and the limits of human endurance collide at the top of the world in the white-knuckle adventure..."

It is all that and more. Here's a glimpse at the storyline: "Inspired by the incredible events surrounding an attempt to reach the summit of the world’s highest mountain, Everest documents the awe-inspiring journey of two different expeditions challenged beyond their limits by one of the fiercest snowstorms ever encountered by mankind. Their mettle tested by the harshest elements found on the planet, the climbers will face nearly impossible obstacles as a lifelong obsession becomes a breathtaking struggle for survival."

Oh, and bringing the story to life is this stellar line-up of actors: Jake Gyllenhaal (Southpaw, Brokeback Mountain), Keira Knightley (The Imitation Game, Pirates of the Caribbean), Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty, The Great Gatsby), Josh Brolin (Sicario, No Country for Old Men), John Hawkes (Winter’s Bone, The Sessions), Robin Wright (“House of Cards,” Forrest Gump), Michael Kelly (“House of Cards,” Viral), Sam Worthington (Avatar, Clash of the Titans) and Emily Watson (The Theory of Everything, Breaking the Waves).

Some bonus features that come with the DVD/Blu-Ray Combo Set:

•    A MOUNTAIN OF WORK: RECREATING EVEREST – Bringing Everest to life required the filmmakers to recreate the mountain through state-of-the-art studio work and visual effects. The teams involved talk about how they made the seemingly impossible possible.
•    RACE TO THE SUMMIT: THE MAKING OF EVEREST – The trials and tribulations of cast and crew as they journey to the foothills of Everest and beyond, battling the elements and forming deep bonds along the way.
